The arrangement will see about 20 lawyers from Dentons' venture technology group offer legal and business advisory services to members of WeWork Labs New York at five of WeWork’s outposts around the city. Dentons lawyers will be present for at least four office hours one day per week at each location, according to Randolph Adler, co-chair of Dentons' startup program. He will lead the charge for Dentons on the pairing, along with Victor Boyajian, global head of the firm's venture technology practice. Mr Boyajian noted that the lawyers will advise on matters such as ‘how to grow and exit, [address] term sheet issues, land an angel and present to venture capitalists.’
Global reach
Adler said that Dentons’ global reach is of particular interest to WeWork members: ‘In the past, law firms [in the startup space] only really needed to be in Silicon Valley. The strategic advantage that we have, the first step of a larger global relationship, is that startups are now global very quickly.’ Source: The American Lawyer
