Dentons promotes three in UKMEA as turnover climbs

Dentons has promoted three to partner in the UK, Middle East and Africa (UKMEA) in its global promotions round, while turnover in the region is up by 6.4 percent from £147.6m to £157m in 2014/15.

This year’s number of UKMEA promotions represents a fall from a high last year, when the firm promoted 10 lawyers. A spokesperson attributed the fall to last year’s high number, coupled with a large number of lateral hires during the year.

In London, corporate and M&A lawyer Darren Acres was promoted to partner, along with Milton Keynes-based employment and labour lawyer Sarah Beeby and Muscat-based litigation and dispute resolution lawyer Haleem Mohammed.

Net profit increase

These promotions follow the release of Dentons’ UKMEA 2015 LLP accounts, which show that the firm’s net profit increased from £36.9m to £41.6m. Source: The Lawyer
