Mr Rudd used to practice in Chicago, but has since been disbarred and has moved to Texas. Upon his arrest, he waived rights to fight extradiction back to Chicago and so is being brought back by the police.
Questions over murdered client
Mrs Rudd suffered a fractured spine and other injuries. Suspicions have existed about her death, which according to one media source followed the arrangement of a $100,000 insurance policy on her life by her husband. The police have also said that Mr Rudd is a suspect in the case of a client of his who had threatened to make a complaint about him and was murdered in 1991.
