Eversheds Consulting accelerates Ireland launch

Eversheds' consultancy arm has brought forward plans to launch in Ireland after losing a client pitch to an EU-based firm.

Although there have been plans afoot for some time to launch Eversheds Consulting in Ireland, The Lawyer reports that these have been accelerated following feedback from a German client that it gave work to rival firms because they have an EU presence.

September launch

The consulting business has already worked on projects in Ireland for clients such as Allied Bank without having a base there and is now planning to open the office in September. Partner Pamela O’Neill will lead the practice, which will launch with a small number of lawyers.
