Eileen Giordano Katz was the deputy general counsel of the authority for 12 years until 2012. But she has just launched proceedings in a federal court, alleging that she was improperly sacked. She has also begun proceedings against the authority's general counsel, James Jordan, alleging that he defamed her. According to Law360, she says that her bosses carried out a concocted investigation in order to discredit her management abilities - as a way of preparing the way for unfairly terminating her employment.
