Fieldfisher partner faces disciplinary body

Michael Harte, formerly of Freshfields and Goldman Sachs, is to appear before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal after refusing to provide a specimen after being involved in a driving incident.

The corporate and commercial partner in the IP group was given a suspended prison sentence when he was convicted of the criminal charge of refusing to give the sample. The referral was made by the Solicitors Regulation Authority to the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal this week for the breach of three principles including that of upholding 'the rule of law and the proper administration of justice'.
