Sources close to the firm have confirmed that talks have begun about the future of offices in Bristol, Halifax, Newcastle and Liverpool (Waterloo). There are reportedly also proposals to close the firm's personal injury units at its offices in London and Birmingham. The firm has already confirmed that it will be closing its office in Derby on 30 June, with one staff member already accepting a new position at the Sheffield office.
It is still unknown how many employees are likely to be made redundant in the restructure, though it is understood that existing staff will be prioritised for jobs elsewhere in the UK group if their offices are closed.
Slater & Gordon was given until 31 March to report on its restructure plans to lenders after unveiling a £500m loss for the six months to 31 December, though it is yet to report on its progress to the Australian Securities Exchange.
