Freshfields names litigator as US head

Freshfields has followed a current trend in appointing a litigator to a senior management role though its naming of Adam Siegel from the New York office as the next US managing partner.

His four-year term starts on April 30. Formerly assistant US attorney in the Manhattan criminal division of the US Attorney’s Office, Mr Siegel joined Freshfields in 2009. Will Lawes, senior partner of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, said: ‘His vision for the firm’s business in the U.S., his deep market knowledge and his client and people skills make him an excellent choice.’ Source: Bloomberg Law
