Freshfields set to cut costs by adding US and Asia admin centres

On the verge of opening its first admin centre in Manchester in the UK, the Magic Circle firm has revealed that it plans to provide 24-hour admin support by opening two other units.

Freshfields is on the verge of opening in Manchester Alastair Wallace

Freshfields Bruckhauser Deringer revealed its plans in job adverts for its legal and business centre in Manchester - in which it said that it is planning to 'establish two further sites in addition to this first site in Manchester'. The moves have already caused concern in the London office of the firm - as up to 800 jobs could be affected. Discussions are currently taking place with support staff about how work will be allocated between London and Manchester.  Source: Legal Week
