Herbert Smith names Asia litigation head

Tokyo-based Peter Godwin has been named as the new head of disputes in Asia by Herbert Smith Freehills.

Mr Godwin is also managing partner in Tokyo. He will hold both posts together. He has been based in Japan for over a decade. His experience in arbitrations has been extensive and, according to the law firm, includes arbitrations in 'Bangkok, Hong Kong, London, Mumbai, New York, Oslo, Paris, Singapore, Stockholm and Tokyo, and in disputes under English and other common and civil law systems'.
