The head of the firm's practice in the Middle East, Zubair Mir, said: ‘The Middle East is a very important region for us and our strategy is under constant review. Clearly we’re looking at our footprint and how best to increase our capability to service current and future clients in the region.’

Association

The firm is applying to have a partnership with a local practice - the only way that foreign firms are allowed to operate in the state. Up until two years ago, Herbert Smith had an association in place with a local firm, the Al-Ghazzawi Professional Association. Source: Legal Business
