HFW targets Southeast Asia with Hiswara hire

Holman Fenwick Willan (HFW) has hired Haydn Dare as a partner from Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung, Herbert Smith Freehills' alliance firm in Indonesia.

A spokesperson has said that the firm sees significant opportunities in the country and that Mr Dare, who has worked in the Asia-Pacific region for more than 20 years and is currently based in Indonesia, will be actively seeking to establish an HFW office there. Mr Dare specialises in structuring foreign investment and in energy and mineral resources, infrastructure and project finance, and M&A transactions. HFW’s senior partner Richard Crump said in a statement: ‘Adding Haydn Dare to the team significantly strengthens the firm's commercial offering and highlights the firm's commitment to expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.’ The firm also recently entered into a formal law alliance in Singapore with AsiaLegal. The alliance operates under the name HFW AsiaLegal. Source: Asian Legal Business; Holman Fenwick Willan
