Ashurst has hired Jon Ornolfsson for its global oil and gas industry team in the Singapore. Mr Ornolfsson joins the firm from the energy and projects team of Herbert Smith Freehills, having worked in their offices in Singapore, Tokyo and Dubai.

Meanwhile, Simmons & Simmons has boosted its financial markets team in the city state with the addition of Matthew Cox from Dentons, where he was managing partner in the Singapore office.

Offshore specialist Harneys has added Lilla Zuill to its team in Hong Kong; she joins on secondment from the firm’s Bermuda office. Harneys is aiming to strengthen links between the two offices and Ms Zuill will be based in Hong Kong for the next twelve months.
