Law school in Scalia acronym blunder

A law school in Virginia that was to be renamed in honour of late Supreme Court judge Antonin Scalia has adapted the name after the acronym became an object of derision on social media.

The renaming of George Mason University’s law school was a condition of an anonymous $30m (£21m) donation received by the university last month. Officials announced that the school would be named Antonin Scalia School of Law. However, they were left red-faced after the eagle-eyed took to Twitter to note that the acronym would be ASSoL. The facility will instead be called Antonin Scalia Law School. Source: BBC News
