Lawyers hit back at golfer over US$3m suit

PGA Tour golfer Dustin Johnson has been accused of maligning two lawyers whose firm he sued last month for US$3m.

Mark Wittstadt and Gerard Wittstadt have asked a judge to dismiss the case against them. They say that they and the golfer are all victims of their former partner, Nathan Hardwick, who was also a friend of Mr Johnson. The golfer was seeking return of money he invested with the firm in August. But the Wittstadts say that the money was put into an account identified by Mr Hardwick and without their knowledge. The firm is now known as Morris Schneider Wittstadt. Mr Hardwick used to be the managing partner in the firm when it was called Morris Hardwick Schneider. Source: Atlanta Journal-Constitution
