Legal secretaries on verge of extinction, according to Oxford University
Legal secretary comes third in a ranking of 366 occupations by their vulnerability to being replaced by automation, with a 98 per cent chance, according to research from the Martin School at Oxford University.
In contrast, 'legal associate professionals' come 137th and have a 66 per cent chance of being replaced. But judges, barristers and solicitors have only a 3 per cent likelihood of losing out to robots and rank 320th on the list.
The analysis is published on the BBC's website and forms part of a series in which the broadcaster examines the effects of the development of robotics on society. Source: BBC
