The Australian stock market, where Slater and Gordon is listed, lost A$56bn in the first three days of this week, following the crash in share price of UK-listed commodities giant Glencore. With its particular exposure to that sector, Australia was badly hit by the aftershocks of that fall.
Readjustment
Slater and Gordon had released its financial results yesterday after making four adjustments. It decreased its net profit for 2013/14 by $9.6m and increased net profit for 2014/15 by $1.4m. The restatement followed an announcement that it had found errors in the financial accounts of its UK business between 2012 and 2014. Source: Lawyers Weekly
