Littler builds up in Kansas but looks set to lay off 110 in San Francisco

The 1,000-lawyer specialist employment and labour law firm Littler Mendelson has informed San Francisco staff that it intends to make 113 of them redundant by the end of the month.

Earlier in 2015, the firm informed staff that it was planning to concentrate its administration functions in one location. It has now begun hiring for a new admin office in Kansas City and aims to have recruited 200 people by the end of the year. Robert Domingues, head of the Kansas admin base, has said that the centre is expected to open by the start of July. The firm has 60 offices in the US and abroad and specialises in acting for employers. Source: ABA
