Morgan Lewis sets up London LLP

Soon after taking on some 226 partners from Bingham McCutchen, Morgan Lewis & Bockius has set itself up as an LLP in London and Paris.

Although the move follows on the heels of the assumption of the Bingham partners and another 430 lawyers, Morgan Lewis partners had been planning it for several months. Bingham McCutcheon had lost much of its strength in London in recent months. In October, 21 junior lawyers moved to Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. In September, another group of 27 more senior lawyers had left Bingham in London, Frankfurt and Hong Kong. Source: Legal Week
