Top Legal International magazine reports that the firm will open a Munich outpost after hiring several partners from local firms.
Ulrich Lohmann and Nina Leonard have been recruited from von Boetticher Hasse Lohmann, and Eike Fietz and Joern Fingerhuth from Luther. Florian von Baum, Rainer Kreifels and Manfred Schmid join from boutique technology practice MLaw.
The move marks a strategy turning point for Pinsent, which pulled out of an alliance with European firm Salans at the end of 2011.
