Netherlands: increased mobility

Dutch law firm AKD has assisted mobile telephone texting service provider ClubMessage purchase Netherlands-based GSM Information Network unit from NASDAQ-listed Motricity.

ClubMessage is reportedly the market leader in SMS services and mobile payments in the Benelux region, while Motricity is regarded as a pioneer in mobile content services. The AKD team was led by partner Matthijs Ingen-Housz.
The deal was closed at the start of May, with financial details not publicly disclosed.
