Norton Rose Fulbright has reappointed Peter Scott as its managing partner for Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific (EMEAPAC) for a third consecutive term.
Scott will begin his third term on 1 April, which since July last year combines oversight of Australia, expanding his Europe, Middle East and Asia remit to include Asia Pacific. Scott has been with Norton Rose Fulbright for his entire career, joining in 1997 and becoming a partner in 2007.
Scott was first elected to the Europe, Middle East and Asia managing partner role in 2020 and then again in 2023. Under his regional leadership, the firm’s EMEA business has posted six years of consecutive revenue growth.
He said: “I’m honoured to be appointed to lead our business at such a pivotal time. I look forward to building upon the strong foundations we’ve laid since 2020, as reflected by the integration of our regional EMEAPAC platform, six years of consecutive financial growth, enhancing our client offering and supporting inclusion in our firm and wider industry.
“As we look ahead, our focus is on continuing to shape our business for the future, through combining innovation, technology and sector insight to deliver solutions that anticipate change and create real value for our clients.”
In 2024, he was also appointed as one of the firm’s two global managing partners, a role he continues to share with US managing partner Jeff Cody.
Cody said: “On behalf of our colleagues around the world, I would like to congratulate Peter on his reappointment following another exceptional term. I look forward to continuing to work closely with him in aligning global and regional priorities, enhancing cross-border teamwork and applying innovation at scale across our business.”
Scott’s leadership skills are widely recognised in the market, having also served on the City of London’s Socio-Economic Diversity Taskforce to help boost diversity at senior levels in the UK professional services sector.
Farmida Bi, chair of Norton Rose Fulbright’s EMEAPAC business, said: “Peter’s reappointment is a clear testament to the trust our partners place in his vision and the strong momentum we’ve generated across the region. Under his leadership, we’ve deepened international collaboration, accelerated innovation and advanced our commitment to inclusion. I’m delighted to continue working with him as we build on this progress together.”
