Lawyers in New South Wales will now be able to make requests and seek preliminary orders such as adjournments and hearing dates online.

Gabrielle Upton, Attorney General of NSW, said: ‘We are witnessing a demand-driven service revolution across all areas of business and our community.’ She added that the new system would make court processes cheaper and easier, improving access to justice. The three month trial is part of the NSW government’s Justice Online Project; it will be rolled out further next year if the trial is successful. Source: Australasian Lawyer
