One in three top Irish firms subject to cyber attack over last 12 months

A third of the Irish legal top 20 have experienced such an attack in the last year - as evidence emerges that suggests they are more likely to be on the receiving end of these attempts than Irish law firms overall.

Among all law firms, only a fifth have been subject to such attempts according to the latest annual survey from Smith & Williamson.

Paul Wyse, managing director of Smith & Williamson Ireland, said: 'It is an area few are willing to speak openly about, but I think it is an area every firm will have concerns about, especially with technology playing a larger role in the sector,' Source: RTE
