The UK promotions follow three Cologne-based lawyers who were also made up at the start of the year and include corporate lawyers Matthew Bodfield, who trained at Irwin Mitchell, and Osborne Clarke-trained Jeffrey Chang. Litigation associate director Mary Lawrence is the only female and non-corporate promotion; she joined Osborne Clarke in 2014 from DAC Beachcroft.
The firm promoted five associate directors to partnership last year, taking its total number of partners to over 200 for the first time. The same number was made up in 2014, with three UK-based lawyers promoted in 2013.
