All eight of Eversheds' trainees qualifying this spring have been offered NQ associate positions with the mid-tier firm. The new recruits will be spread evenly across its various regional offices in the UK – two in London, two in Cambridge, two in Birmingham, one in Cardiff and one in Eversheds' international arbitration department in Paris.

Global megafirm King & Wood Mallesons also posted a more moderate spring retention rate at the end of last week, keeping on 70 per cent of its qualifiers in the City. The result is a slight improvement on spring 2015, when the firm offered NQ contracts to just 66 per cent of qualifiers. All 14 lawyers will be based out of the firm's London office and start on salaries of £64,000 per year.
