PNC replace longstanding general counsel

Robert Hoyt has been announced as general counsel of Pittsburgh-based PNC Financial Services Group, according to ALM's Corporate Counsel.

Mr Hoyt will replace long-serving GC Helen Pudlin when she retires at the end of this month after 18 years at the top of the company’s legal department.
Having joined PNC in 2009, Mr Hoyt already has experience in the company as chief regulatory officer and as senior deputy general counsel responsible for legal issues related to PNC’s retail, asset management, and corporate and institutional businesses.
PNC chairman and chief executive James Rohr commented: ‘He has dramatically increased our regulatory and legislative affairs capabilities at a time when these skills are in very high demand..’
