Tony O’Malley, PwC's Australia and Asia Pacific legal services leader, said: 'We’ve probably been the most aggressive to date in the Australian market, which is a position we’re very happy to take.'
Clients - very willing to innovate
Describing the recruitment of Melbourne-based Damian McNair as head of projects, Mr O'Malley said that PwC - which is aiming to be a top 20 legal practice - wanted to bring in someone who had already run a top law firm. Mr O'Malley added that clients are 'very willing' to innovate and to try new things, something which makes this a good time for the Big Four accountancy firms to offer them legal services.
