The firm has seen US investigations opened up after investigations have been started in Asia. Colleen Conry, co-head of the firm’s government enforcement practice, said: ‘We don’t see any let-up in US-based investigation work in Asia.’ Ropes & Gray has handled 320 anti-graft cases in the last five years, it says. It has now recruited Patrick Sinclair, a US federal prosecutor, who will be based in Hong Kong. Ms Conry said: ‘Patrick’s presence on the ground there will allow us to help clients understand how U.S. prosecutors and regulators are thinking.’ Source: Bloomberg Business Week
