Skadden leads US firms in dominating H1 deal tables

Nine out of ten slots in the world top ten are filled by US firms - with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, in fifth place, being the only non-US practice making it to the Thomson Reuters ranking.

Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom is top (on deals by value) with $410b of deals, followed by Davis Polk & Wardwell ($308b) and Sullivan & Cromwell ($273) and Latham & Watkins ($269b). Freshfields comes fifth ($243b). Cravath Swaine & Moore ($232.3b) is in sixth place, slightly ahead of Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz ($232.1b). Kirkland & Ellis ($210b) comes eighth, followed by White & Case ($180b) in ninth. Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson ($179b) is tenth. 

Europe listing

On European deals, Freshfields comes first, followed by Slaughter and May in second place and Allen & Overy in third. Allens is fourth.
