According to a report on Law.com, the appointment is part of a company-wide shake up that sees long-standing GC Michael Hemmer retire shortly and chief executive Jim Young take extended medical leave. Mr Young – who is also the company’s president and chairman of the board – announced earlier this month that he is battling pancreatic cancer.
Ms Thal, who has been with UPRR for more than three decades, previously held the title of chief compliance officer.
