One practising lawyer has made it to the Forbes 400 list of America's wealthiest people. Joe Jamil Junior has made the cut with his $1.7 billion fortune. Mr Jamil is, according to the magazine, often referred to as 'The King of Torts' and for good reason - he built his Texas practice on personal injury cases. His wealth came, in part, from a case against oil company Texaco when he represented Pennzoil, won $10.5 billion for the company and received $345 million in contingency fees. He is number 373 on the list where entry point is $1.55 billion. Source: Forbes
