The Information Commissioner has asked for a delay in publishing the names of 22 law firms and another 76 organisations while he evaluates how their cases should be handled. The firms have been linked to private investigators who have themselves been investigated for hacking phones for British newspapers. However, the fact that a firm is connected to a particular investigator does not mean that they committed any wrong-doing. The Information Commissioner, Christopher Graham, is examining the files of all the 98 organisations to see if any action could or should be brought against any of them, according to The Independent.
