Top equity partners at Fieldfisher see take-home pay double to £1.25m

The 360-lawyer international firm has pushed up pay for top equity partners by 111 per cent from £590,000 to £1.25m over 2014/15 - as a way of rewarding the 'top performers' better.

Remuneration is going up 42 per cent for partners at the lower end of the scale, taking them up from £225,000 to £320,000. Managing partner Michael Chissick said: 'We’re trying to reward our top performers in a better way. So the partnership decided to make a bigger range of points available in the profit share system.' 

Rainmaker rewards

The payment of greater sums to the top performers at the nine-office practice is seen as being away for the firm to keep up with rivals who have also opened up pay opportunities for their rainmakers.  Source: The Lawyer
