Top US black law firm reduces to one partner

Alabama-based Chestnut, Sanders and Sanders - once one of the top 10 black law firms in the US - has now only partner left after a fight over money following a US$1.2 b win.

State Senator Hank Sanders says that he is the sole remaining partner. He and his wife, also a lawyer, are in dispute with the family of deceased former partner JL Chestnut Jr. The dispute arose after the firm won a $1.2b compensation case on discrimination for a group of black farmers.The dispute concerns the division of the $5.2m legal fees.
