The new organisation, Tandem Sports & Entertainment, opens today. Mr Tanner, who represents Jeremy Lin of the Houston Rockets and several other top basketball stars, is quoted in Bloomberg Businessweek as saying: 'Our vision for Tandem is to combine the best elements of an agency with the best elements of a law firm.'  He is taking all of his clients with him. He added that it would be easier for him to focus on non-legal areas, such as marketing and communications, in the new practice than at Williams & Connolly which is particularly well-known for litigation.
