The country’s constitutional court overturned the ban which had been brought personally by prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Professor Yaman Akdeniz, one of the applicants to the case, said: ‘There is no higher court in Turkey, so they need to obey the decision, there is nothing else they can do; there is no appeal.
