Tecom, a company which oversees the education free zones Knowledge Village and Dubai International Academic City, is looking to make legal education more available in the UAE. Tecom director Leigh Ann Khosla said there is a discrepancy between what students are studying and where the jobs are, pointing out that most study in areas where there is a short supply of jobs, such as business and finance, whereas law is unpopular. However, it deserves more attention. Khosla said: ‘we have found that law took up 33 per cent of the areas industry wants to see more talent in.’ Source: The National
