Under MyCSP’s mutual joint venture model – launched on 30 April 2012 by UK government minister Francis Maude – employees are given a 25 per cent ownership stake, representation at board level and a share in profit.
The Equiniti Group’s Paymaster business has been announced as the tender to join the venture with a 40 per stake. The British government retains a 35 per cent stake with the intention that taxpayers will also benefit as the business grows in value.
The Herbert Smith team was led by London corporate partners Adrian Clough and Michael Waltner.
