Following a competitive tender, Augean was chosen as the preferred operator for the waste management operations at England’s Discovery Park in a deal that includes the HTI.
The agreements include several associated facilities in support of the day-to-day management and operation of the main HTI facility. The HTI is expected to provide capacity to process 10,000 tonnes of waste every year; in addition, it is the only HTI facility in the UK capable of recovering energy from the process.
