Top 10 US law firm White & Case has said that it will roll out Legora’s legal AI software across its 43 offices.
In addition to the rollout across 29 countries, White & Case and Legora said that they will collaborate on new products and solutions, including the recently announced “Legora Portal”, which is designed to improve collaboration between law firms and in-house legal teams.
“This partnership is part of our strategic approach to AI and innovation, which combines partnering with market-leading legal technology companies while also building custom internal solutions,” said Dipen Sabharwal KC, a London-based arbitration partner and a member of White & Case’s executive committee. “We are impressed by Legora’s pace of innovation, openness to collaboration and commitment to shaping its platform to our needs.”
The Legora Portal was unveiled last month, offering in-house teams what the legaltech company described as “a secure, unified workspace to access firm-specific expertise, automate repetitive workflows and seamlessly integrate their external counsel into their day-to-day operations”.
Among its features is the capacity for law firms to “build and share custom AI workflows” for tasks including contract review, due diligence and legal drafting.
Since it was founded in 2023, Legora has become one of the best-known and largest legaltech start-ups. In October, the company raised Series C funding of $150m, valuing it at $1.8bn.
In September, Legora and Deloitte Legal announced a UK partnership, including collaboration on offering Legora’s technology to legal departments and law firms. In South Africa, Webber Wentzel has made Legora its anchor technology partner in its Innovation Lab.
