Young lawyers told to build client relationships

Young lawyers are being urged to network and manage client relationships as soon as they start work in law firms.

Speaking at the Australasian Practice Management Association Summit, Richard Scott, business development manager at Russell Kennedy Solicitors said, according to Lawyers Weekly: 'Get the younger lawyers meeting with clients and doing the networking as soon as possible; they don’t teach networking and client relationship management (CRM) at law school. They need to know what’s expected of them as soon as they arrive at the firm.'
