UK firm Taylor Wessing is setting up US operations but will not be practising local law. Offices in Palo Alto and New York, will open in September Joshua Haviv

International law firm Taylor Wessing today announced the opening of two representative offices in the USA. The offices, in Palo Alto and New York, will both open in September this year. The firm is sending two partners and an associate to Silicon Valley whilst a partner will spend part of his time in New York.  Partners Mark Barron who specialises in corporate technology and is currently based in London and technology and data protection specialist Dr Kai Westerwelle, who is currently based in Frankfurt, will head out to Palo Alto.  Associate Dennis Tan, who is currently based in Singapore, will also join the duo. Mike Turner, a corporate technology partner, will head  the New York office. The firm will not be practicing US law, but rather using its locations in Palo Alto and New York to support US clients' international growth.
