Iraq growth potential attracts lawyers

Lawyers are among the businesses which are looking beyond the security risk to take advantage of the opportunities in Iraq.

They will be hoping to replicate some of the success of PwC which has seen 30% growth in the country in the last year. Talking to the Financial TImes, Ismail Maraqa, a senior PwC senior partner, said: 'In the past it was only oil and gas.  Now you have construction, communications, banking, lawyers, healthcare, education.' He added that Iraq is 'one of the few promising emerging markets out there' and that the oil and gas sector is attempting to grow six- or seven-fold. Source: Financial Times
