Specialist energy firm to close down by year end

Burleson, the Houston-based energy law firm, is to shut all five of its offices by the end of December in response to the downturn in the sector.

A decrease in oil prices has dragged down the firm's revenue, according to the managing partners Richard Burleson. 

Decade of practice

He says that all five of the offices - in Denver, San Antonio, Houston, Pittsburgh and New Orleans - will close by the end of this year. There are currently about 60 lawyers in the practice.
