The Seoul office will be the 39th in the law firm's international network, opened to support long-standing project finance clients and to broaden advice given on M&A, private equity and dispute resolution.

The office is to be led by Los Angeles-based James K. Lee, head of the existing Korea practice group and a specialist in complex cross-border commercial litigation, who is relocating to the Korean capital. He will initially be joined by London-based construction partner Mark Goodrich and Kyungseok Kim, who recently joined White & Case as a partner in global M&A.

Complex, cross-border

Hugh Verrier, White & Case chair, said: 'Asia is a strategically important region for the firm. We've had an active Korea practice for many years, and now the office in Seoul will allow us to provide on-the-ground support for our clients in their complex, cross-border work.' Source: White & Case
