Amar is a founding member of JSA’s Disputes Practice and currently serves as the Joint Managing Partner of the firm. With extensive experience in commercial litigation and arbitration, he regularly appears before various courts and tribunals, including the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, National Company Law Tribunals, and other specialised forums. Several of the landmark judgments he has been involved in have been reported in reputed legal journals. He has also provided expert opinion on Indian law in proceedings in foreign courts. A seasoned lawyer, Amar has led high-profile disputes across diverse industries, including oil & gas, real estate, commodities, and IT. He has significant expertise in both domestic and international arbitration — ad hoc and institutional — and also serves as an arbitrator. Amar holds key positions in leading arbitration institutions: he is a Court Member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, and serves on the Executive Committee of ICC India.
