Anna-Kay Brown is admitted to the Bar of Guyana, as well as five other common law jurisdictions in the Caribbean region. Her original training was at the Bar in Jamaica, and she holds an LLB from the University of West Indies and an LLM from the New York University School of Law in New York, United States, where she is also admitted to practise law. She has experience in commercial law, both contentious and non-contentious.
