James Sheedy

James is Partner and qualified English Barrister and Jersey Advocate with a busy litigation practice focusing on trust and private wealth disputes. He is the author of Jersey’s leading trust disputes text ‘Litigating Trust Disputes in Jersey Law, Procedure and Remedies’. James advises and represents both beneficiaries and trustees in breach of trust claims; asset tracing/recovery against trusts and trustees; claims for secondary liability against accessories; disputes concerning trust administration; applications to court for directions, variation and rectification of trusts; disputes about disclosure; the appointment and removal of trustees; and disputes about the exercise of powers. He advises on jurisdictional disputes and the enforcement of foreign judgments against trustees and beneficiaries. James also advises on a broad range of contentious and commercial and company law disputes.
