Leopoldo Pagotto

Leopoldo Pagotto leads the anti-corruption and compliance practices at Freitas Leite e Avvad Advogados. He advises clients in a variety of markets, such as banking, telecommunications, information technology, mining, shipbuilding, auto parts, infrastructure, and pharmaceuticals. After chairing the Anti-Corruption Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA), he sits on the Advisory Board of the same committee. Leopoldo is a member of the Advisory Committee of Integrity Initiatives International (III), which oversees the drafting of an international treaty to create the International Anti-Corruption Court. He is approved in the category Compliance by Chambers & Partners (Contentious Brazil and Global Guide) and in the Anti-Corruption & Compliance category by the Latin American Corporate Counsel Association (LACCA). Leopoldo has been appointed by Chambers and Partners as a foreign specialist in antitrust and M&A for Japanese clients. He was also named one of the “40 under 40” by the Global Investigations Review, in the internal investigations category. Leopoldo served as rapporteur for the 20th Panel and the 1st Panel at the Court of Ethics and Discipline (TED) of the Brazilian Bar Association, São Paulo Section.
